Abstract

A lens apparatus (101, 700) of which an image side part is detachably mountable to an accessory (102) includes a lens unit that includes a lens (455) disposed closest to the image side part and a holding member (412) that holds the lens, and is movable in an optical axis direction, and a restrictor (107) configured to restrict a movement of the lens unit. When the lens unit is located at a first position (tl), the accessory is not mountable to the lens apparatus, and when the lens unit is located at a second position (t2), the accessory is mountable to the lens apparatus. The restrictor restricts the lens unit from moving without bringing the lens unit into contact with the accessory when the accessory is attached to the lens apparatus.
