Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle data collection method and system comprising: detecting the start of parking (401) of a vehicle by means of an activation/deactivation indicator; detecting the position (402) of the vehicle by means of a positioning module (103) connected to a control module (101), based on the parking start detected; detecting at least one parameter of the vehicle by means of at least one sensor (106) of the vehicle connected to the control module (101) via a data collection module (104), based on the parking start detected; sending an activation signal to a remote server (108), by means of a communication module (105) connected to the control module (101), said activation signal being indicative of the vehicle parking start; a vehicle identifier; the position of the vehicle; and at least one parameter of the vehicle; and registering (403) the vehicle, by means of the remote server (108), in a parked vehicle database.
