Abstract

A cleaning method is provided during which a cover assembly (14) is removed from a pressure pot (12) of a material spray system (10). The cover assembly (14) is mated with a wash tank (50), where the cover assembly (14) closes an opening (66) into the wash tank (50). Cleaning solution is directed into a cavity (62) of the wash tank (50) and against the cover assembly (14) to remove material residue from the cover assembly (14).
