Abstract

The district heating system is equipped with a feed conduit (2) for feeding at least one transfer station (13) with a heated heat transfer medium and with a return conduit (7) for leading back the cooled heat transfer medium which comes from the at least one transfer station (13), with a mixing device (15) between the feed conduit and the return conduit and with at least one heat pump (14) which heats heat transfer medium from the return conduit (7), said medium then being fed into the feed conduit (2). The heat transfer medium which comes from the at least one heat pump (14), seen in the flow direction of the feed conduit (2) is fed into the feed conduit upstream of the mixing device (15d), or is fed through the mixing device (15d) of the feed conduit.
