Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an agricultural system comprising: an agricultural baler (10) with a bale-forming chamber (22); a plunger (23) movable in a reciprocating manner within the bale-forming chamber (22) for compressing plant matter in the bale-forming chamber (22); and a driveline for moving the plunger within the bale-forming chamber (22), wherein the driveline comprises at least one bearing, the agricultural system further comprising a control unit (44) configured to: receive load-data indicative of a load acting on the plunger during operation of the baler; and determine a bearing-status-signal indicative of wear status the bearing, on the basis of the load-data.
