Abstract

A yield calculation system (1) comprises a position sensor (20) configured to detect a position. A baler (10) comprises a bale chamber (14) in which crop material is to be formed into a bale (B1), a volume measurement sensor (22) provided in the bale chamber (14) and configured to measure a volume of the bale (B1) in the bale chamber (14), the volume corresponding to the position detected by the position sensor (20), and a moisture measurement sensor (24) provided in the bale chamber (14) and configured to measure a moisture amount in the bale (B1), the moisture amount corresponding to the position detected by the position sensor (20). A processor (60) is configured to calculate, based on the volume of the bale (B1) and the moisture amount corresponding to the position, a yield corresponding to the position by excluding the moisture amount from an amount of the bale (B1).
