Abstract

A turbine fan fairing platform (306) is disclosed. The turbine fan fairing platform includes a platform body (78) including a first side portion (68') arranged to abut a first fan blade (304), a second side portion (70') arranged to abut a second fan blade (304), and a central portion (72') extending between the first side portion (68') and the second side portion (70'). A seal member (80) is disposed over the platform body (78). The seal member includes a first side portion (68) over the platform body first side portion (68'), a central portion (72") over the platform body central portion (72'), and a second side portion (70) over the platform body second side portion (70'). An erosion protection layer (92) is disposed over the seal member (80) over the central portion (72') of the platform body (78).
