Abstract

A photoelectric conversion element (10) including: a first electrode (2); a hole blocking layer (3); a photoelectric conversion layer (4); a second electrode (5); a third electrode (12); a photoelectric conversion part (51) in which the first electrode (2), the hole blocking layer (3), the photoelectric conversion layer (4), and the second electrode (5) are stacked; an electrode contact part (52) in which the second electrode (5) is in contact with the third electrode (12); and a division part (53) dividing the photoelectric conversion part (51) and the electrode contact part (52), wherein an area (S1) where the second electrode (5) is in contact with the third electrode (12) in the electrode contact part (52) and an area (S2) of the photoelectric conversion part (51) satisfy expression (1) below: 1.0×10−5≤100×S1/S2
