Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of printing for improving print quality, the method comprising the steps of applying a layer of a pre-treatment liquid to a surface of a print substrate; printing an image on top of the layer of the pre-treatment liquid; pre-drying a printed print substrate obtained in step b at a temperature of between 30 and 50 degrees Celsius for 2-6 seconds; drying of and/or fixation of the image on the print printed substrate obtained after the pre-drying step. The invention also relates to a printing system for performing said method.
