Abstract
A thread remaining amount detecting device 100 includes a pedestal 110 on which a cone 11 can be placed, and a detector 130 disposed on the pedestal 110. The detector 130 includes a light emitter 132 that irradiates light to a bottom surface of a thread-wound part 12 of the cone 11, and a light receiver 133 that receives light reflected from the bottom surface.
