Abstract

A laser-arc hybrid welding apparatus (1) used for dissimilar material welding includes: a laser-beam irradiation device constituted of a laser oscillator (60) and a laser torch (40); and an arc welding device constituted of a welding power supply (30) and a welding torch (10). The arc welding device changes an arc output (a welding current) at a frequency between a frequency f1 and a frequency f2. At the first frequency f1, an output change in a welding progressing direction occurs in a cycle of 12 mm when welding is performed at a prescribed welding speed. At the second frequency f2, the output change in the welding progressing direction occurs in a cycle of 2 mm when welding is performed at the prescribed welding speed. The welding speed is from 0.8 m/min to 2.0 m/min.
