Abstract

The invention relates to a marine battery charger cable extender (20) including a terminal end (30) that has a positive extender ring terminal (29) and a negative extender ring terminal (28), and a connection end (32) configured to connect to a terminal end of a pre-wired battery charger (9). The connection end (32) includes a positive ring end (27), a positive ring connector (38) configured to hold the positive ring end (27) and galvanic connection with a positive ring terminal (16) of the pre-wired battery charger (9), and a positive connection cover (40b) configured to completely encapsulate the connected positive ring end (27) of the cable extender (20) and the positive ring terminal (16) of the pre-wired battery charger (9). The connection end (32) also includes a negative ring end (26), a negative ring connector (37) configured to hold the negative ring end (26) in galvanic connection with a negative ring terminal (14) of the pre-wired battery charger (9), and a negative connection cover (40a) configured to completely encapsulate the connected negative ring end (26) of the cable extender (20) and the negative ring terminal (14) of the pre-wired battery charger (9).
