Abstract

The present invention relates to a support device (10) for an induction coil of an induction heating appliance. The support device (10) includes at least one coil base plate (12) adapted for supporting the induction coil. The coil base plate (12) is made of at least one electrically non-conductive material. The support device (10) includes at least one electrically conductive and/or magnetic layer (14). The electrically conductive and/or magnetic layer (14) is applied on at least one large-area side of the coil base plate (12).
