Abstract

A rod system, in particular for the spine, is provided which includes a first rod (100), a second rod (101), a connector for connecting the first rod and the second rod, the connector including a main body (10, 10', 10") comprising a first rod seat (15) configured to accommodate a portion of the first rod (100), the first rod seat defining a first longitudinal axis (li) and a second rod seat (16) configured to accommodate a portion of the second rod (101), the second rod seat defining a second longitudinal axis (l₂), wherein the connector is configured to permit the first rod (100) to be fixed to the main body (10, 10', 10") and configured to permit the second rod (101) to be selectively either fixable to the main body (10, 10', 10") or slidably connectable to the main body (10, 10', 10").
