Abstract

The invention relates to a method for testing a container being capable to store at least one vehicle component, in which a robot is placed at a predefined initial position relative to the container and moved relative to the container with an initial velocity along an initial path, a relative position between a vehicle component stored in the container and the robot is measured by at least one search sensor, and the measured relative position is compared with a predefined position value, wherein if the relative position measured lies within a tolerance range a gripping tool of the robot is moved towards the vehicle component and is controlled to grip the vehicle component, and if the gripping tool controlled to grip the vehicle component fails to grip the vehicle component, the container is sorted out.
