Abstract
The invention relates to a method for estimating a braking factor (k<sub>brk</sub>) for a braking system for a vehicle, wherein the braking factor (k<sub>brk</sub>) is by applying the following equation: kbrk=a+b*vveh+c*pbrk+d*Tbrk+f*pbrk2, wherein a, b, c, d and f are model parameters, v<sub>veh</sub> is a velocity of the vehicle, p<sub>brk</sub> is a braking pressure , and T<sub>brk</sub> is a brake temperature.
