Abstract

Provided a safety system (700) comprising: a plurality of valve units (200) for a heat pump system, a connection structure (710), and a discharge structure (720, 730). Each valve unit has a liquid refrigerant pipe portion (311) with a liquid control valve (364), a gas refrigerant pipe portion (330) with a gas control valve (365), a casing (400) accommodating at least the above valves and formed with at least two openings (420, 430), and a refrigerant leakage detector (500) configured to detect an occurrence of a refrigerant leakage in an internal space of the casing. The connection structure connects the internal spaces of the casings via the openings. The discharge structure is connected to the connection structure or one of the casings and configured to discharge air from the internal space of the casing in which a refrigerant leakage has occurred.
