Abstract

Provided is a fan motor applied to a fridge and providing a driving power for circulating cold air within a storage space. The fan motor includes a stator including a stator core. The stator core includes a yoke, a plurality of teeth, and a plurality of slots each formed by two teeth adjacent to each other and the yoke positioned between the two teeth. A first interval between an internal central point of the stator core and an inner circumferential surface of the yoke at a tooth portion is greater than a second interval between the internal central point of the stator core and an inner circumferential surface of the yoke at a central part of the slot in a circumferential direction thereof. A space factor can be effectively increased and efficiency of the fan motor can be improved without increasing the size of an external diameter of the stator.
