Abstract

There is described an infeed conveyor (30) for a folding apparatus (19) for folding semi-finalized packs (5) containing a pourable product, the infeed conveyor (30) being configured to receive the semi-finalized packs (5) and to transfer the semi-finalized packs (5) to a folding unit (32) of the folding apparatus (19). The infeed conveyor (30) comprises one or more pushing elements (34), a conveying device (35) for advancing the pushing elements (34) along an advancement path (R) and a carrier (33) for the semi-finalized packs (5). The infeed conveyor (30) further comprises a distance detection device (36) for measuring a distance (d) between the pushing elements (34) and the respective semi-finalized packs (5).
