Abstract

A hearing device system comprising a first hearing device and a second hearing device is disclosed. The first hearing device and the second hearing device are each comprising at least one microphone, a primary antenna configured for establishing a first bidirectional wireless link with the other hearing device, and a speaker. At least one of the first and second hearing devices comprises a secondary antenna configured for establishing a second bidirectional wireless link with an electronic device. The electronic device is adapted to establish a call between the user and a far-end caller. The hearing device system is configured to determine a first noise level, N<1>, of sound received by the at least one microphone of the first hearing device and a second noise level, N<2>, of sound received by the at least one microphone of the second hearing device. The hearing device system is further configured to operate in a call mode. When N<1><N<2>, the microphone of the first hearing device is selected to capture the user's voice for the call. When N<1>>N<2>, the microphone of the second hearing device is selected to capture the user's voice for the call.
