Abstract

A propulsion system (120) for providing propulsion of an aircraft (101) includes a plurality of electric motors (122) coupled with a rotor (109) of the aircraft (101) to drive the rotor (109) and a propulsion motor control (130). The propulsion motor control (130) includes at least one processor electrically connected with at least one electric motor (122) to actuate the at least one electric motor (122) and at least one battery (134) electrically connected with the at least one processor and at least one electric motor (122) to provide power to the at least one processor and the at least one electric motor (122). The propulsion motor control (130) actuates the plurality of electric motors (122) based on a desired torque level to drive the rotor (109) to provide propulsion of the aircraft (101).
