Abstract
A photoelectric conversion element (1) includes a first electrode (13), a photoelectric conversion layer (16) over the first electrode (13), and a second electrode (18) over the photoelectric conversion layer (16). The photoelectric conversion element (1) further includes a sealing member (3) enclosing one electrode selected from the first electrode (13) and the second electrode (18) and the photoelectric conversion layer (16), and adhering to an adhesion region (30) in the other electrode selected from the first electrode (13) and the second electrode (18). In a cross-section of the photoelectric conversion element (1) in a stacking direction, the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of a length L is 1,000 nm or less, where the length L is a length in the stacking direction from a face of the other electrode where the adhesion region (30) is absent to the sealing member (3) adhering to the adhesion region (30).
