Abstract

A package (1) for holding a food product, comprising a main body (2) formed from a multilayer packaging material (3) and having a wall section (13) for forming an inner space (14) for the food product, and an opening (15) arranged at an end (16) of the wall section (13). The package (1) has a lid structure (4) formed from a plastic material and attached to the main body (2) for sealing the opening (15) and the inner space (14). The lid structure (4) has a lid frame (22) and a lid (23) detachably joined with the lid frame (22) for sealing the opening (15) in cooperation with the lid frame (22), and a pull element (24) connected to a peripheral portion (25) of the lid (23) and configured to, when pulled, at least partially detach the lid (23) from the lid frame (22) and thereby at least partially freeing the opening (15).
