Abstract

A yaw bearing assembly (10) configured to rotatably couple a nacelle (3) to a tower (2) of a wind turbine (1) to allow a rotation of the nacelle (3) relative to the tower (2) about a yaw axis (6), the yaw bearing assembly (10) comprising a first yaw bearing component (12) fixed to the tower (2) or being integrally formed with the tower (2), a second yaw bearing component (13) fixed to the nacelle (3) or being integrally formed with the nacelle (3), and at least one sliding component (11) having a sliding surface (41) and being arranged between the first yaw bearing component (12) and the second yaw bearing component (13).
