Abstract

The present invention relates to a horizontal-axis wind-powered generator formed by a structure (2) rotating about a vertical shaft (19), built into the ground, or a building, or a vessel, supporting a wind turbine (1) made up of a cylindrical horizontal-axis rotor (3) which, in an operative position, is located independently perpendicular to the direction of the wind, and has radial blades (13) and generatrix blades (7) which receive the force of the wind as a result of an enveloping casing having an inlet manifold (IM), an outlet manifold (OM), and a series of ramps (6, 14, 16) channeling air into the turbine (1). The wind wanes (10, 12) facilitate the automatic orientation of the turbine (1) so that the inlet manifold (IM) is always located facing the direction of the wind (WI) when the structure (2) rotates about the shaft (19).
