Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrode tip (1) for an implantable cardiac electrode, wherein the electrode tip (1) comprises a housing (2) having an electrode lead feed section (7), an electrode lead receiving section (3) and a sealing element (8) arranged between the electrode lead feed section (7) and the electrode lead receiving section (3). The sealing element (8) serves for sealing the electrode lead feed section (7) in a fluid tight manner against the electrode lead receiving section (3), when an electrode lead (5) is arranged within the electrode lead feed section (7) and the electrode lead receiving section (3) and is surrounded by the sealing element (8). According to an aspect of the invention, the sealing element (8) consists of an injection-moldable material and constitutes a non-removable sealing portion (10, 11) forming an integral part of the housing (2).
