Abstract
A torque transfer assembly comprising a drive shaft (4) and a driven shaft (10) and a dielectric connector (20) positioned between, and connecting the drive shaft and the driven shaft, the connector comprising a body of dielectric material defining an insulating barrier between the drive and the driven shaft, the connector comprising a dielectric barrier body (21) having a first side (21a) from which a protrusion (22) extends, the protrusion configured to engage in a correspondingly shaped recess (41) formed in one of the drive shaft or the driven shaft, and a second side (21b), opposite the first side, in which is formed a recess (23) shaped to receive a correspondingly shaped protrusion (101) extending from the other of the drive shaft or the driven shaft, the connector providing a dielectric barrier between the drive shaft and the driven shaft.
