Abstract

A method for correcting an image includes: moving first and second ink jet heads (11A, 11B; 11B, 11C) and a medium (M) relative to each other, each of the first and second ink jet heads including nozzles (11a) and drive elements (111) corresponding to the nozzles respectively; discharging ink droplets from the nozzles of the first and second ink jet heads, by connecting each of the drive elements to one of power supply circuits (22, 23, 24, 25) and by applying voltage (Numerals "2", "3", "4" in Fig. 8, Fig. 9A, Fig. 10, Fig. 11) to each of the drive elements, the power supply circuits having different output voltage values each other; determining a density difference (ΔL*6) between a first image region (AR; BR) and a second image region (BL; CL); and switching the voltage to be applied to first drive elements of the first ink jet head (11A; 11B) within a join of the first and second ink jet heads to a first voltage (Numeral "1" in Fig. 10, Fig. 11) by switching the power supply circuits (21) to be connected to the first drive elements based on the density difference.
