Abstract

Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Administration of the muscarinic receptor antagonist to an animal model suffering from nicotine withdrawal symptoms alleviates, prevents or ameliorates the symptoms. Therefore, the use of the muscarinic receptor antagonist enables the prevention or treatment of nicotine withdrawal symptoms and is expected to help develop relevant therapeutic agents.
