Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10) for detecting electrical arc events (12). The device (10) comprises a patch element (20) including sensors (22), the sensors (22) including sensors of different types. Each sensor (22) of a subset of the sensors (22) is configured to obtain a sensor measurement indicative of an electrical arc event (12). Each sensor (22) of the subset of is configured for providing a sensor signal based on the respective sensor measurement. The device further includes a processing unit (30) communicatively coupled to the sensors (22), wherein the processing unit (30) is configured to process the sensor signals provided by the subset of sensors (22) in order to obtain processed sensor signals. The processed sensor signals indicate the electrical arc event (12). The invention further relates to a corresponding system (50) and an aircraft (100) including said device (10).
