Abstract

A powder intake unit (1) is configured to receive powder from an opened powder bag. The powder intake unit (1) includes an upper section (2) defining an inlet (3), and a lower conical section (4) that tapers radially inwardly from a top end (5) at which the lower conical section (4) is connected to the upper section (2) to a bottom end (6) at which an outlet (7) for discharging the powder is arranged. An upper section (2) of the powder intake unit (1) has a rear wall (8) arranged opposite the inlet (3) and a ceiling (9) that is inclined downwardly from the inlet (3) toward the rear wall (8).
