Abstract

There is provided methods and apparatus of encapsulating/parsing point cloud data in/from encapsulating containers. The encapsulating method writes point cloud data in at least one of said encapsulating containers; for at least one spatial region of a spatial sensing coverage of a sensing device, the method writes a first data on a presence of a sensing reliability score in one of said encapsulating containers; and if the first data indicates that a sensing reliability score is present, the method writes said determined sensing reliability score in one of said encapsulating containers. The parsing method reads, from at least one encapsulating container, point cloud data associated with at least one spatial region of a spatial sensing coverage of a sensing device; for each of said at least one spatial region, the method reads a first data on a presence of a sensing reliability score from one encapsulating container; and, if the first data indicates that a sensing reliability score is present, the method reads said sensing reliability score from one encapsulating container.
