Abstract

An escalator equipment alert method and an escalator equipment alert system (10) are disclosed. The method includes: activating a camera (11, 11(1), 11(2)) disposed on an entrance of an escalator equipment (21); capturing a foot image (31) of a passenger (301) about to board the escalator equipment (21) through the camera (11, 11(1), 11(2)); performing an image analyzation on the foot image (31) to detect a danger boarding behavior related to the passenger (301); and in response to the danger boarding behavior, issuing an alert message matched with the danger boarding behavior through an alert device (12).
