Abstract
A cooling system (120; 263; 363) for a superconducting electric machine (100) may comprise a fluid reservoir (122;267; 367) and a first fluid comprising a first mixture of hydrogen and helium configured to be stored in the fluid reservoir (122;267; 367). A plurality of conduits (127;269) may be fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir (122;267; 367) and may form a closed loop between the fluid reservoir (122;267; 367) and the superconducting electric machine (100).
