Abstract

The present invention concerns an aerosol generating device configured to operate with a tobacco article comprising a substrate portion, the device comprising:- a device body comprising a heating chamber configured to receive the substrate portion and defining an opening;- a mouthpiece fixed on the device body and forming an inner volume between a fixing end and an inner surface of the mouthpiece, the mouthpiece being configured to be engaged with a mouthpiece portion of the tobacco article and defining at least one airflow inlet (65) on its internal surface in fluid communication with the closed end of the heating chamber;the aerosol generating device further comprises leakage preventing means (180) preventing flow leakage from the inner volume (47) via the airflow inlet (65).
