Abstract

It is intended to provide a watercraft positional information managing system, whereby GPS-based positional information can be inhibited from being falsified. The present watercraft positional information managing system includes a server and a watercraft. The watercraft includes a propulsion device and a communication device performing communication with the server. The communication device includes a position detecting section detecting positional information of the watercraft. The propulsion device includes an engine and a controller controlling the engine. The controller is connected to the communication device. The controller outputs data related to the engine to the communication device. The communication device transmits the data related to the engine inputted thereto and the positional information of the watercraft to the server. The server receives the data related to the engine and the positional information of the watercraft and determines whether or not the positional information of the watercraft is genuine based on the data related to the engine.
