Abstract

An animal cage (100) suitable for use for transportation of an animal in a vehicle, said animal cage (100) comprising:- a bottom (102),- a top (104),- a frame assembly (106) connecting the bottom (102) to the top (104), the frame assembly (106) comprising a front portion (106a) and a rear portion (106b), the front portion (106a) and rear portion (106b) being reciprocally moveable relative one another along a longitudinal direction of the animal cage (100) such that a length of the animal cage (100) may be adapted and wherein the animal cage (100) comprises at least one resistance altering element (108) for altering a longitudinal force required for relative movement of the front and rear portion (106b).
