Abstract
The present invention relates to pasireotide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, for use in prevention or delay of appearance or development of breast cancer or post-pregnancy breast cancer in a female mammal. In addition, the present invention relates to pasireotide long-acting release (pasireotide LAR), preferably pasireotide pamoate, for use in prevention or delay of appearance or development of breast cancer or post-pregnancy breast cancer in a female mammal. Moreover, the present invention also relates to pasireotide long-acting release (pasireotide LAR), preferably pasireotide pamoate, for use in prevention or delay of appearance or development of post-pregnancy breast cancer in a female mammal, wherein said female mammal has weaned their offspring and/or is undergoing postlactational involution.
