Abstract

A method of determining an analyte concentration in a bodily fluid using a mobile device with a camera, as well as a corresponding computer program, a non-transitory computerreadable storage medium with corresponding instructions, a corresponding mobile device, and a corresponding kit. The method comprises step a: determining a numerical analyte result value from an image of a color formation of a reagent test region, step b: displaying the numerical analyte result value and/or a corresponding analyte value range and/or a corresponding message, wherein in a step c) after step a) and before step b) an upper bias is added to the numerical analyte result value if it exceeds an upper threshold value, or a lower bias is subtracted if it falls below a lower threshold value, or it is kept unchanged it neither threshold value is passed.
