Abstract

A monitoring system for monitoring of a cross-bonding box, wherein the monitoring system comprises a heat transfer means having a first end and a second end; a thermal sensing unit. The first end of the heat transfer means is thermally connectable to a conductor clamp or an earthing bar bridge located within a waterproof housing of the cross-bonding box, wherein the second end of the heat transfer means is thermally connectable to a housing contact area of the inner surface of the waterproof housing. The thermal sensing unit is arranged on the outer surface of the waterproof housing adj acent to the housing contact area of the inner surface.
