Abstract

A pickup assembly (2) for an agricultural harvester (1) comprises a pickup assembly frame (200), a pickup unit (10), a wind guard assembly (220), and a feeding auger (11). The pickup unit (10) is carried by the pickup assembly frame (200) and configured to pick up crop from a field. The wind guard assembly (220) is pivotably coupled to the pickup assembly frame (200). The feeding auger (11) is rotatably coupled to an auger arm (110), the auger arm (110) being pivotably connected to the pickup assembly frame (200) at a first pivot axle (116). An auger control arm (111) extends from the first pivot axle (116) in a direction different from the auger arm (110) and is configured for pivoting together with the auger arm (110). The auger control arm (111) is configured to provide at least one of the following functions:limiting a maximum height of the feeding auger (11),limiting a minimum height of the feeding auger (11),providing suspension for the feeding auger (11) when pivoting relative to the pickup assembly frame (200), andlifting the feeding auger (11), together with the wind guard assembly (220).
