Abstract

A safety device in a vehicle is provided. The safety device comprises an actuator (100; 100') comprising a housing (1; 1'), a piston arrangement (12; 12') fitted in the housing and being movable from a retracted position to an extended position, a gas generator (10; 10') and a power connector (8; 8') configured to allow powering of the gas generator. The housing has a first end (2; 2') having a through-going opening (5; 5') and an internal surface encircling the through-going opening and forming a seating (19; 19'). The gas generator (10; 10') is connected to a support member (9; 9'). The power connector is situated on the outside of the housing on the first end thereof and connected to the gas generator. The support member is abutting the seating thereby closing the through-going opening in the housing and forming a first sealing arrangement preventing intrusion of moisture and/or dust into the housing.
