Abstract

The present method of rewriting programs of first and second electronic control devices includes transmitting data for rewriting each of the programs to each of the first and second electronic control devices with a common identifier through a communication network, causing the first electronic control device to execute rewriting the program thereof when the first electronic control device determines to rewrite the program thereof, causing the first electronic control device not to execute rewriting the program thereof when the first electronic control device determines not to rewrite the program thereof, causing the second electronic control device to execute rewriting the program thereof when the second electronic control device determines to rewrite the program thereof, and causing the second electronic control device not to execute rewriting the program thereof when the second electronic control device determines not to rewrite the program thereof.
