Abstract

A switchgear (300), a sensor assistance device (100), a composite conductor (102), and a use of the sensor assistance device (100) in sensing parameter(s) such as temperature and partial discharge associated with conducting components (103, 201A, 202) of the switching device (300) that lie in its current path are provided. The composite conductor (102) includes a first conducting member (102A) and a ceramic member (102B) rigidly connected to and positioned between the first conducting member (102A) and an integrated conducting member (203) of the switching device (300) or a second conducting member (102A') of the sensor assistance device (100) so as to allow transfer hear from the integrated conducting member (203) or the second conducting member (102A') to the first conducting member (102A) while isolating potential.
