Abstract

A production system (1) for producing a medical device (50) from a tube (5) comprises a positioning device (2) for positioning the tube (5). The positioning device (2) is configured to hold the tube (5) such that a portion of the tube (5) extends from the positioning device (2) along a longitudinal direction (L). A guiding device (3) is used to guide said portion of the tube (5), and a laser cutting device (4) is used to form said medical device (50) from said portion of the tube (5). The guiding device (3) comprises a multiplicity of bearing elements (300A, 300B, 310, 310A, 310B) each configured to abut said portion of the tube (5) and each having a convex curvature in a plane spanned by the longitudinal direction (X) and a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (X).
