Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of a trailer, comprising: inflating (S1) a trailer supply line (106) and/or using a pressurized trailer supply line (106); exhausting and/or deflating (S2) the trailer supply line (106); obtaining (S3) the pressure being formed in the trailer supply line (106) during inflating (S1) and/or using and/or during exhausting and/or deflating (S2); and determining (S4), if a trailer is connected to the trailer supply line (106), based on the obtained pressure, in particular an obtained pressure curve. Further, the present invention relates to a system (100) for detecting the presence of a trailer and to a vehicle (V), in which said system (100) is included.
