Abstract

Provided is an aqueous ink for inkjet capable of recording an image excellent in abrasion resistance and color developability. The aqueous ink for ink jet contains: a pigment; a wax; a phosphate ester-based surfactant; and an amine compound. The pigment is a pigment dispersed through an action of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of: a carboxylic acid group; and a sulfonic acid group. The phosphate ester-based surfactant contains an aliphatic alcohol alkoxylate moiety. A ratio of a volume-based 50% cumulative particle diameter of the wax to a volume-based 50% cumulative particle diameter of the pigment is 0.10 times or more to 2.0 times or less.
