Abstract

A sheet processing device (20 and 30) includes an upstream device (20), a downstream device (30), and a controller (100). The upstream device (20) includes multiple rollers (22a, 22b, 23, 24, 25) to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction and perform a sheet processing. The downstream device (30) is downstream from the upstream device (20) in the conveyance direction. The downstream device (30) includes a sheet sensor (29) to detect the sheet. The controller (100) controls a timing to rotate the multiple rollers (22a, 22b, 23, 24, 25) of the upstream device (20) to perform the sheet processing in response to a detection of the sheet by the sheet sensor (29).
