Abstract

A fin pack (10) for a conformal heat exchanger (32) includes alternating rows (12) of fins (14) defined in a lateral plane, each row (12) of fins (14) having alternating upward and downward extending peaks (16, 18) extending upwardly and downwardly from the lateral plane, wherein adjacent rows (12) of fins (14) are connected by central portions (20) in the lateral plane, and wherein upward and downward extending peaks (16, 18) of adjacent rows (12) are offset from each other along the rows (12). The conformal heat exchanger (32) can be curved, and a method for making the conformal heat exchanger (32) is also disclosed.
