Abstract
A method for folding absorbent sanitary articles, wherein a plurality of absorbent sanitary articles (16) advancing at a first speed (V1) are alternately routed towards at least two folding lines (18, 20), are slowed down to a second speed (V2) less than the first speed (V1), are folded while advancing at the second speed (V2) and are overlapped with each other so as to form groups of articles (60), each of which comprises at least two folded absorbent sanitary articles (16) overlapped with each other.
